Research Grants for Scholars
The Afghanistan Research Initiative, Graduate School of Development, offers support to Afghan scholars in the diaspora or non-Afghan scholars holding university or research positions conducting research and who can engage Afghan students as assistants in their projects. Preference is given to research projects in the social sciences, humanities, gender studies, and biological, earth, and environmental sciences that are important in understanding the impact of climate change and food security issues. However, other fields may be considered. Grants of up to $25,000 will be awarded to eligible candidates.
Applications involve a two-step process. The first is the statement of intent that must be submitted by 15 July 2023. After a review, applicants will be asked to complete the full application.
